Human Urokinase (uPA) Recombinant Low Molecular Weight 1mg - Human Urokinase (uPA) Recombinant Low Molecular Weight from Innovative Research has been recombinantly produced in insect cells and purified using a combination of conventional and affinity chromatography. This is a frozen liquid buffered in 0.05M Sodium Acetate; 0.1M NaCl; 1mM EDTA; pH 5.0 and a purity of 95%. It is useful as a positive control for ELISA and western blot and and other applications including cell differentiation, cell signaling, clotting assays, fibrinolysis, plasminogen activation, protein-protein interactions, receptor binding, thromboelastography, and thrombolysis. Purified from auto-catalytic digestion of recombinant human urokinase produced in insect cells. Active two-chain low molecular weight human urokinase contains the proteinase domain and is separated from the amino terminal fragment by cleavage at the Lys135-Lys136 bond.

This gene encodes one of six different actin proteins. Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in cell motility, structure, integrity, and intercellular signaling. The encoded protein is a major constituent of the contractile apparatus and one of the two nonmuscle cytoskeletal actins that are ubiquitously expressed. Mutations in this gene cause Baraitser-Winter syndrome 1, which is characterized by intellectual disability with a distinctive facial appearance in human patients. Numerous pseudogenes of this gene have been identified throughout the human genome.
